Fokion Sinis

About

Fokion Sinis is a Greek-Canadian pharmacist and health
economist with over 15 years of international pharmaceutical
leadership experience across Europe, the GCC, and emerging
markets.

He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of ADCAN Pharma in Abu Dhabi — the
UAE’s first manufacturer of Oncology and Hormone therapies — backed by International
Holding Company (IHC). In this role, he leads the transformation and growth of a
strategically important pharmaceutical platform aligned with the UAE’s Vision 2030 and
“Make it in the Emirates” initiative.
Prior to this, Fokion was Head of International Business at SPIMACO, one of the region’s
leading pharmaceutical manufacturers, where he was responsible for expanding global
partnerships and strengthening the company’s footprint across international markets.
Throughout his career — including leadership roles at Sanofi, Novo Nordisk and Novartis
— Fokion has operated at the intersection of strategy, public policy, and commercial
execution, building bridges between institutions, industry, and governments.
Proud of his Hellenic heritage and deeply rooted in the UAE, Fokion believes strongly in
the power of the Greek diaspora to create meaningful economic and cultural impact.
Having lived and worked across multiple countries, he understands the importance of
community, collaboration, and collective progress.
His vision for the Hellenic Business Council of the UAE is to:
• Strengthen economic bridges between Greece and the UAE
• Empower Greek entrepreneurs and professionals in the region
• Foster the next generation of Hellenic leaders
• Promote excellence, integrity, and long-term value creation
He is committed to contributing his international experience, strategic mindset, and
