About

Paschalis Bouchoris is an investment management executive with a c.30-year international
career in asset management, corporate banking and advisory.
Paschalis currently serves as a Senior Advisor at BlackRock, following an 11-year career with
the firm. He joined BlackRock in May 2015, first as a Managing Director and senior member
of the firm’s Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) team in EMEA overseeing the activity in
Greece, Cyprus, Hungary and the Middle East and, more recently, as the Country Manager
and Regional Head of BlackRock in Dubai where he led the business in the region. During his
tenure at BlackRock, he has worked with senior leaders in governments, sovereign wealth
funds, banks, investment funds and other financial institutions on a variety of topics ranging
from fund-raising across asset classes and energy & infrastructure investments to distressed
assets, balance sheet restructuring, policy, risk, valuations and capital market transactions.
Presently, he also serves as a Chairman of the Board of Directors (non-executive) at DESFA,
Greece’s Natural Gas Transmission System Operator. Additionally, during 2023-4, he served
as a Senior Advisor at Atlas Capital, a US multi-asset strategy and fintech firm.
Previously, he was a Corporate Banker with the National Bank of Greece (NBG). He joined
NBG in June 2006, initially as a co-Head of its private equity funds (NBGI) and subsequently
as Head of the Bank’s International Corporate Sector and Head of the Large Corporate
Special Assets Division.
During 2014-5 he served as the CEO of Greece’s privatization fund (TAIPED) leading the
privatization of airports, ports and other infrastructure, energy, utility and real estate assets.
He had started his career in 1996, working as a management consultant and executive in the
financial and technology services sectors in Greece and the US where he was a strategy
consultant with Monitor Company in New York.
He is a graduate in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University
of Athens and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rotterdam School of
Management at Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
Paschalis lives in Dubai. He is married and has three daughters (23, 19 and 15 years old).
