HBC Board of Directors Elections - Call for Candidacies

Elections for the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Business Council take place every two years and Board Members make vital decisions that have a lasting impact on the success of the Council.

The elections for the Members of the Board of Directors will be held at the Annual General Assembly on 30 March 2026.

HBC Members who wish to stand as candidates for election to the Board of Directors must submit their candidacy by email to the Chairman (chairman@hbc-dubai.org)  and the Secretary General (Secretary.general@hbc-dubai.org) of the HBC.

The deadline for submission of candidacy is Sunday, 15 February.

Only Members in good standing, with all applicable membership fees settled, are eligible to stand as candidates. 

Under the HBC Articles of Association, at least five (5) of the nine (9) elected Board members must represent Dubai-licensed businesses.

As per Dubai Chambers regulations, each candidate is required to be vetted and approved by Dubai Chambers.

Following the closing of the nomination deadline and subsequent approval by Dubai Chambers, the list of candidates will be circulated to HBC members together with the formal Annual General Assembly notice and agenda. 

A formal letter by HBC Chairman Mr. Athanasios Karvelis calling for candidacies and providing details on nomination requirements has been sent to HBC Members.
